Non-violent Direct Action Training
March 30 @ 8:00 am - March 31 @ 6:30 pm
It’s time to skill-up, expand, and deepen our ability to stand up to the fossil fuel industry at every level. Over 20,000 people like you have already joined a historic call to action through the Promise to Protect – a commitment to take peaceful action along the KXL pipeline route – and now we’re calling on you to join a training so we can be prepared to resist.
Sign-up for one of our Promise to Protect Trainings in Denver on March 30 or 31 to be prepared for future action against Keystone XL and local efforts to protect our communities from fossil fuel activities.
At the training, you’ll learn about nonviolent direct action and support roles, protocols for mobilizing in Lakota territory, and how to apply these lessons to local campaigns, which we’ll need in order to create a nationwide wave of resistance against fossil fuel development in our communities.
In Colorado, we’ve seen the fossil fuel industry ignore public health and safety and site fracking, coal plants and oil refineries right by our neighborhoods, endangering our loved ones’ health, safety and futures. This must end now. Together we can stand up for the people and places we love. We can grow our skills and our movement to create the change we need at home and at the national level.
You must sign up to attend a training. There are a limited number of spots available, so only confirmed participants will receive the location information for the training in the weeks before the training. Let us know if you have any questions.
Will we see you there? I hope so! RSVP now.
Breakfast and registration will begin at 8am followed by an opening prayer and ceremony. Training will begin promptly at 9am. Childcare will be available, please indicate your needs on the RSVP form.
P.S. Watch and share this video explaining the vision for the training tour and why we must prepare now.
