Denver Climate Strike – 50th Earth Day!
April 22 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join the Colorado Climate Strike Coalition on Earth Day 2020 for the Earth Day Strike!
On April 22, 1970, millions of people took to the streets for the first Earth Day, to demand a cleaner, healthier environment. On April 22, the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the US Climate Strike Coalition is launching three consecutive days of strike actions to call on all young people and adults to join us as we take our movement to the next level. With the November elections approaching, 2020 is a critical year for climate action. We must mobilize and use our voice and our vote to demand our leaders take action to address the climate crises. Each day of the strike will have a varying focus to ensure our message is heard at every level.
The 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, is a day of mass mobilization. We will kick-off the three days with a demonstration of our collective power and unity with millions of young people and adults participating in thousands of Earth Day strike events across the country. On this historic day of climate action, we are centering Indigenous people and people of color, reflecting on our personal connections to the Earth, and recommitting ourselves to the movement.
Join us for day one of three to Strike With Us!
Meet us at Union Station at 10am and march with us to our final destination (TBD)
