Air Quality Control Commission – speak out!
September 19 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Stand with us to protect Colorado’s health and clean air!
The Colorado Air Quality Control Commission’s monthly meeting starts at 9 AM. At this meeting, the Air Pollution Control Division intends to request that the Commission initiate a process to adopt new rules to rein in oil and gas industry air pollution (here is the agenda, https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VJDYgO0jCjHkuSkRLBcFkgyNvEi5z4xs).
Meeting starts at 9 AM at 4300 Cherry Creek Drive South in Denver. Our opportunity to comment will come up around 10:30 AM.
This is an opportunity to support the Commission’s efforts to adopt new rules, but also call for bolder, more aggressive action to reduce toxic emissions.
This meeting presents an opportunity to ensure the Commission hears loudly and clearly that we expect bold, swift, and aggressive action to rein in the oil and gas industry’s air pollution and put health first in Colorado!

WildEarth Guardians and its allies have called on the Air Quality Control Commission to adopt bold new rules to fully safeguard clean air and public health from fracking (see, https://pdf.wildearthguardians.org/support_docs/2019-5-13 Letter to CDPHE re SB181.pdf).
The Air Division is proposing an initial set of rules that are good, but need improving in key regards, https://pdf.wildearthguardians.org/support_docs/2019-9-5%20WG%20AQCC%20Rule%20Comments.pdf
We need you to stand with us to ensure the Commission follows through with protecting Coloradans from the oil and gas industry’s air pollution.
Your voice is critical! Especially as Colorado air regulators continue to let public health and the environment take a backseat to the oil and gas industry, https://wildearthguardians.org/brave-new-wild/climate-energy/toxic-air-pollution-still-pouring-through-loophole/.
