What a night! On February 25th, Colorado Rising joined our friends at Patagonia Denver and Winter Wildlands Alliance for the Backcountry Film Festival, an evening packed with films celebrating human-powered winter adventure, deep powder, and the wild places we all love. Attendees enjoyed pizza, popcorn, and drinks, all while being inspired by stories that connect us to the movement to keep winter wild.
Ten short films were shown – from deep powder ski adventures to thoughtful explorations of climate change, backcountry culture, and public lands advocacy. The films celebrated the magic of winter while inspiring action. Funds raised at the film festival screenings stay local to support SnowSchool programs, human-powered recreation, conservation efforts and avalanche safety education.
We’re proud to be a longtime partner of the Winter Wildlands Alliance and a member of their Grassroots Alliance, working alongside national partners to protect America’s wild snowscapes.
A huge thank you to Patagonia Denver and Winter Wildlands Alliance for a fantastic evening!
