Climate Disaster Awareness Week Press Conference At Capitol Calls for Urgent Action

Lively Turnout at State Capitol Press Conference

At the CLIMATE DISASTERS AWARENESS WEEK PRESS CONFERENCE, State legislators, activists and environmental groups joined the call for urgent action to address our worsening climate crisis.  The art installation in the Capitol Foyer featured moving art & imagery of the very worst wildfires, floods, droughts, extreme heat events, windstorms and other disasters exacerbated by climate change.

Although the Climate Disasters Awareness week is officially “finished,” it is certainly not too late to take the actions below!

Join Colorado Climate Disasters Awareness Week Jan. 26-30 to demand action.

From wildfires and extreme heat to floods, drought, and skyrocketing insurance costs, climate disasters are no longer distant threats. Climate Disasters are happening here and now, to our families, our homes, and our communities. This week, we’re sharing our stories about how climate change is affecting our lives, and we’re urging our leaders to prepare and take bold action to reduce climate pollution! Let’s turn our shared experiences into collective power. (Learn more from our friends at 350 Colorado here.)

There are many ways to get involved:
