Protecting Communities from Air Pollution Bill Introduced

Protecting Communities Bill 2
4/10/23
The Protecting Communities from Air Pollution Act bill was finally introduced in the Colorado State House on Monday.   Here are some pictures from CO Rising that we took at the bill’s press conference with Representative Jennifer Bacon.

For over a decade, Colorado’s ozone problem has worsened, putting public health at risk. Oil and gas operations are the biggest culprits: this sector is responsible for close to half of all ozone-forming pollution. Members of the environmental community came together Monday at Colorado’s Capitol, calling on state leaders to clean up air pollution from oil and gas and ensure our state proactively tackles health-harming ozone pollution.  Colorado Rising encourages everyone to support this important bill!
