McWhinney withdraws one of two fracking permits in Loveland

GREAT NEWS!  We have just learned that Troy McWhinney has withdrawn the drilling permit for one of the two fracking pads that is threatening Loveland’s Centerra community. It appears that the development company plans to put retail, mixed use and residential buildings there instead of drilling rigs.  The fact that McWhinney’s oil and gas extraction plans also faced huge opposition from the community may have also persuaded them to give up their plans.  So congratulations Loveland activists, neighbors, and concerned friends!

Your persistence is paying off, but we’re not finished – there is still one drilling pad to the east of Centerra that we must also stop.  Let’s keep the heat on, please take all of the actions here to prevent this fracking project from damaging our air, water, wildlife, health, home values, and economy.

Don’t Stop Here
